Open licences, reserved name

The creator wants to be able to sell kits without closing the project to the community. All files use open licences that allow anyone to build, modify and sell: firmware GPL-3.0, hardware CERN-OHL-S-2.0, documentation CC BY-SA 4.0. Kit exclusivity comes from the name instead: "CatWandConnect" and its logo are reserved by a trademark policy, so only the creator's kits can be sold as official CatWandConnect; others must use another name or say "compatible with CatWandConnect". A non-commercial licence (CC BY-NC-SA) was rejected because it is not open hardware and puts off contributors. A trademark registration (INPI/EUIPO) can follow if sales justify it.
